This typical North African dish is deliciously tasty treat. Spices and flavours include cumin, paprika, nutmeg, fennel seed, pepper, cloves, turmeric, ginger, fenugreek. Looking for something different give this spice mix a try.
Suggested use: cut 500 g of meat into strips, if necessary. Season the meat with about 1½ tbsp (15 g) of the Verstegen shoarma mix and let it marinade for a while. Cut 1 capsicum into strips and 1 onion into rings.
Heat a frying pan or wok with 2 tbsp (olive) oil and add the capsicum, onion and the meat. Stir-fry for about 8-10 minutes.
Variation tip: serve the shawarma in Turkish bread/Pita . Garnish with iceberg lettuce, tomato and cucumber.
